| | Working & Treatment of TriCor |
Abbot’s TriCor are the prescription Fenofibrate tablets
formulated and distributed for treating the Triglyceride
related disorders. TriCor Tablets are basically designed
to be ingested by the patients in addition to proper
diet for treating the adults having high cholesterol
levels with or without increased Triglycerides –
Fredrickson type IIa and IIb. The tablet lowers
increased LDL-Bad Cholesterol, total Cholesterol,
Triglycerides and Apolipoprotein-B and elevates HDL-Good
Cholesterol level.
TriCor in combination with required diet charts is also
being used for treating the adult patients having raised
Triglycerides – Fredrickson types IV and V. Surplus body
weight, consumption of alcohol, ailments like diabetes
and hypothyroidism as well as different drugs may lead
to raise Triglyceride levels which are usually based on
necessary tests and evaluations made by the physician
before prescribing the TriCor or its Generic dosage.
TriCor works by breaking down and removing fat particles
in the blood. It can help minimizing Triglyceride
levels, raise HDL-Good Cholesterol and bring down LDL-Bad
Cholesterol according to the patient’s individual
cholesterol conditions.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 145mg and
48mg once daily. The tablets can be taken with or
without food as directed by the doctor in each
individual case. Since TriCor is the prescription
medicine, it should not be tried without consulting the
physician and no over dose should ever be taken in any
case. The doctors consider TriCor to be the ideal
medication especially for those patients who are
concerned about their cholesterol and triglyceride
levels and diet with exercises do not fetch them any
remarkable results.
